What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website we receive your name, email address, phone number, the postcode of the property, the service you are interested in and anything you write in your message. If you go on to book with us we also collect your billing details, the property address and information about the property needed to carry out the work. If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect information about how you use this website (see cookies below).
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To carry out the inspection, design or report you book, and to invoice you. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep business records, including for accounting and professional insurance. This is a legal obligation or our legitimate interest.
We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who processes it for us
This website is hosted by Wix, and enquiry form submissions are stored in our Wix account. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. We use an email provider to correspond with you and a payment provider to take payment. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising cookies. The cookies and similar storage this site uses are:
- Strictly necessary. Wix, which hosts the site, adds a script that may use cookies or similar storage to run and protect the site. When you send an enquiry, your browser stores a temporary access token so the form can be submitted securely; it contains no personal information. We also store your cookie choice in your browser, so we do not ask again on every page. These do not need your consent.
- Analytics, only if you accept. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are viewed, roughly where in the country visits come from, what type of device is used and whether an enquiry was sent or a phone number or email link was clicked. It sets cookies named
_gaand_ga_followed by an ID, which last up to two years. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number or the content of your enquiry, and we have switched off Google's advertising features. Google processes this information for us and may transfer it outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. We keep Analytics data for no longer than 14 months. Our lawful basis is your consent.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we stop using Google Analytics and remove its cookies from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and records of work we carry out for as long as we need them for legal, accounting and professional insurance purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email office@laytoe.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
