London's housing, and why it matters
Much of the city we work in is Victorian and Edwardian: terraces, semis, mansion blocks and houses converted into flats. Many were built with shallow foundations on London clay, which shrinks in dry weather and near trees. Add a century of alterations, from removed chimney breasts to knocked-through rooms, and you get the questions we answer every week.
If your property is just outside London, ask us. We often take on work nearby, including in Hertfordshire.
